Timmy just recently turned 4 years old. There were no health complications during pregnancy or after the birth of the child. Recently, for unknown reasons, my daughter has been experiencing emotional and nervous stress. On the recommendation of a neurologist, we had to do an MRI, but before that, we must definitely do a heart examination. It was after the heart echo that Timmy was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect - patent ductus arteriosus with volumetric overload of the left ventricle.
Doctors advise surgery, because this defect puts a strong strain on the heart and lungs. It needs to be done as soon as possible, because there are many risks: complicated courses of any disease, the risk of any infections, even if it seems insignificant, for Timmy this is a big risk. To perform the surgery, we need an implant - an occluder, which will close the ductus. The cost of the implant is too high for us, and we really need your help! My husband and I are divorced. Cardiovascular surgeon of the First Territorial Medical Association of Lviv Besh Dmytro: "During the examination, the child was diagnosed with congenital heart disease - patent ductus arteriosus. Based on absolute indicators, endovascular closure of the opening with an occluder was recommended. This is a gentle intervention, after which the child will recover quickly and develop normally".
