2025: the year we stood by children
For the Ukrainian Aid Fund (Ufond), 2025 was a year of special responsibility towards children. To those who are struggling with serious illnesses, and to those who are growing up without parental support. It was children’s destinies that were and are the center of our work and the main meaning of everything we did during the year. 2025 once again showed how important systemic assistance, trust, and joint efforts of caring people are. Summing up, we want to talk about the main thing — what we work for every day.
Children whose lives were saved by the aid
In 2025, we allocated almost 1 200 000 UAH to pay for the treatment of children with severe congenital and acquired diseases. 11 children from different regions of the country received assistance. Thanks to the support of partners and benefactors, we were able to pay for treatment, operations and rehabilitation courses for children with serious illnesses.
Behind each such case is a separate story of struggle, hope and faith. For families, this aid has become not just financial support, but an opportunity to focus on the main thing — the health and life of the child. For children who, after months of pain and fear, are once again able to smile, take their first steps, go to school and make plans for the future.
Support for orphanages and social institutions: assistance that shapes childhood
In 2025, we paid special attention to children left without parental care. During the year, we provided support to 12 orphanages, boarding schools and social institutions for a total of over 700 000 UAH. Over 1 000 children received assistance.
We helped where it was truly necessary:
— provided children with clothing, shoes and basic necessities;
— purchased educational materials, educational games, furniture and household appliances;
— helped institutions create more comfortable and safe conditions for life and development;
— supported educational, creative and rehabilitation programs.
For these children, our assistance is not just new things or equipment. It is a feeling of stability, care and confidence that adults are nearby and ready to support.
We firmly believe that every child deserves a childhood filled with attention, security, and the opportunity to develop. That is why helping orphanages is not a one-time event for us, but a systematic effort aimed at improving the quality of life of children here and now.
In 2026, we continue to implement the Program aimed at supporting children in institutions, their socialization, and preparation for adulthood.
Other areas of assistance
In parallel, we continued to provide assistance to specialized medical institutions, hospitals and the military, directing funds to the purchase of medical equipment, consumables, medicines and humanitarian aid. These projects remained an important part of our work, but the central focus of the year, as before, was children and their well-being.
Results of the year in numbers
In 2025:
— 90% of all collected funds were sent to Ufond’s programs to help children and orphanages;
— assistance was provided within the framework of 6 active programs;
— 11 children received medical assistance;
— 12 children’s institutions were supported;
— in total, over 1 000 children from children’s institutions under the care of Ufond received assistance.
All these results were made possible thanks to people who believe in the power of good. To benefactors, partners, volunteers and employees - everyone who took a step towards a child in need of help.
2025 showed: when everyone unites for the sake of children, not only the numbers in the reports change - destinies change. And it is for this reason that we continue our work and begin 2026 with a sense of gratitude to everyone and the understanding that there is still a lot of work ahead. But we know for sure: together we can do more. And in the new year, we will continue to do everything possible to ensure that help reaches those who really need it.
