Alice is our first and long-awaited child. The daughter grew and developed well. Everything was great. We first encountered difficulties when Alisa was 3 years old. Then the child was diagnosed with bronchitis with an asthmatic course. We fought this disease for almost two years: hospitals, drips, inhalations, but we won and outgrew this disease.
When my daughter entered the first grade, she began to complain that she could not see well. After examination by an ophthalmologist, the daughter was diagnosed with myopia (far vision). Unfortunately, this diagnosis is treated with vision correction in adulthood. Now Alice wears glasses.
Since the age of 4, Alisa has been involved in various sports disciplines. In 2023, the daughter took 1st place in the cheerleading competition. Alisa is a very cheerful girl, an active and sociable child.
At the beginning of 2024, the daughter underwent a routine medical examination, during which an ultrasound of the heart was performed. The results of the examination simply shocked us, the child was found to have a congenital heart defect - a secondary defect of the atrial septum, almost 10 mm in size, and a volume overload of the right parts of the heart. We were advised to perform a gentle operation using an occluder as soon as possible. Such an operation is performed free of charge here in Lviv. But, for this you need to purchase the occluder itself. For our family, this is a large amount of money, therefore, we are forced to ask for help in buying a device that will close the hole in the heart of our princess. Cardiovascular surgeon-surgeon of the First Territorial Medical Association of the city of Lviv Dmytro Besh: "Patient Alisa Semeniv has a congenital heart disease - atrial septal defect. The child needs an operation. Given the planned surgical treatment, this heart defect requires endovascular closure in the near future. This is necessary to reduce the load on the girl's heart, after which the child will be completely healthy".
The occluder supplier issued an invoice for UAH 102 500.
