Arsen is the fourth child in the family. Our son was born without any deviations, grew up and developed well. When he was one year and four months old, he contracted pertussis. After a complete examination, doctors established an accurate diagnosis - acute tracheitis. After two months of outpatient treatment at the Rivne Regional Children’s Hospital, when the disease began to recede, we noticed a gait disorder in my son. After a night’s sleep, Arsen could not walk at all, only in the afternoon he more or less walked. We went to the regional hospital again. We were given a new diagnosis: toxic-allergic coccyx is right-handed. Prescribed treatment. Almost a year of trips to the doctors, and treatment that gave only a temporary result, and in the end, a new terrible diagnosis - JRA disease (juvenile rheumatoid arthritis - Ufond). Arsen was prescribed a long-term drug, metrotrexate, which helped him. And in January 2018, after suffering from SARS, our son’s condition worsened again. Arsen did not go at all for three days. During inpatient treatment, we were given the hormonal drug medrol, which we still take. While in the hospital, we had an ultrasound of the heart and found a heart defect, diagnosing - an open ductus arteriosus. In May of this year, Arsen was examined by doctors from the National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery. N.N. Amosova. The diagnosis was confirmed. Doctors explained that our two problems are interconnected, and there is no hope that the duct will close on its own, it is only increasing every day. For further full life and development, our son needs an operation - closing the open arterial duct, with the help of a spiral occluder, which we ourselves do not buy. Arsen Olifer successfully operated at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery named after NM Amosov (Kiev).The open ductus arteriosus is successfully closed in a gentle way, using a spiral occluder. The heart has been restored, preventing the risk of dangerous complications, including JRA disease, which was recently diagnosed in Arsen. Now the boy is feeling well, the postoperative period passed without complications, the next day after the operation the boy was discharged home.
