Artem was born at 38 weeks of pregnancy. Childbirth was very difficult. From birth, the son was passive, could not eat on their own, did not shout, did not cry, could not hold his head. At the age of six months, the child was diagnosed with a syndrome of increased neuro-reflex excitability. We were prescribed professional massages and exercise therapy. The treatment was effective, thanks to which Artem began to develop well.
Later, when Artem was about a year and a half old, I noticed that he did not respond to sounds. We went for an examination in Kyiv, to the Kolomiychenko Institute. After the examination, the son was diagnosed with sensorineural deafness of 3 degrees. We were advised to buy hearing aids for the left and right ears so that the child would not start hearing loss. We managed to buy the cheapest devices, which allowed our son to retain at least some ability to hear. But now, Artem began to grow up, and the degree of hearing loss has already reached the 4th. So now the child needs more modern and powerful hearing aids so that my boy can hear this world.
I am a single mother with three boys, raising them myself. I have no help from my husband and his family. We don’t have our own house, we live with my mother. We live on the pension of our son from disability and our own from having many children. There is not enough money. I take various part-time jobs at home to provide for myself and my children.
