How could our son get such a rare disease? It seemed that it could be even worse, well, as you know, trouble does not come by itself. During the examination, the cardiologist heard noises in the child’s heart. After the ultrasound, Bogdan was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect - a secondary defect of the atrial septum. The size of the defect was more than 6.5 mm, there was no hope that the wrong diagnosis or defect could be eliminated by itself. We were sent for a consultation to the Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery. N.N. Amosova. The doctors of the Institute immediately recommended that we have a sparing operation, as it is the safest and most suitable for Bogdan, due to another concomitant disease. The operation itself will be free of charge, but we need to pay for the expensive occluder ourselves. I work as a kindergarten teacher, the husband does not have a permanent job, all the family’s income goes to pay for the education of the eldest daughter and the purchase of necessary medicines and hormones for Bogdan.
