"Your child has a heart defect - a defect of the atrial septum, you need urgent consultation with cardiac surgeons," - sounded like a sentence. How could this happen? I’ve asked myself this question a thousand times, but I still can’t find the answer. This summer, we consulted at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery. Amosova. After careful examination, it turned out that the defect is large, Bogdana’s heart is working with overload. In order for a child to be able to live a full life and develop normally, it is necessary to perform an operation to close the defect. But even in such a seemingly difficult situation, there is a ray of hope - it is the closure of vice by a special device - an occluder, without a chest incision, without an artificial circulation device.
