Unfortunately, the latest examination showed that the defect has increased in size, and the daughter can now only help surgery. It can be performed endovascularly. Camilla Pavlov was successfully operated on at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery named after MM Amosova (Kyiv). The atrial septal defect is closed through the vessels with the help of a special implant - an occluder. The operation was gentle and minimally traumatic, lasting a little over an hour. The work of the cardiovascular system is restored, Camilla is healthy and feeling well. The day after the operation, Camilla was discharged home.
