We are the parents of a wonderful boy, Danylo, who is 5 years old. From birth, Danylk was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect - an open ductus arteriosus. Usually, by the age of two, this duct tends to close. And we hoped for the best, and every six months, going for an ECHO of our hearts, we hoped that they would tell us "Everything is fine!". But, unfortunately... Now my son is 5 years old. And we need an operation to close the heart defect.
School, friends, hobbies, entertainment and sports are ahead. However, sports are very difficult for Danilov, he gets tired very quickly. He attends the dance section in kindergarten, and he likes it very much. But we understand that heavy loads are contraindicated for him, because the blood, which should flow through the body and saturate all organs with oxygen, returns back and puts a strain on the lungs. He really likes to experiment, to explore something new.

Danylo Romaniv was successfully operated on at the First Territorial Medical Association of the city of Lviv. The open arterial duct was closed endovascularly, with the help of a special device - a spiral occluder. An hour after the operation, the boy was in the ward with his mother. The work of the heart and circulatory system has been restored. Danylo feels well and is already at home.
