More than a year ago, our life was divided into "before" and "after": our daughter was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect - patent ductus arteriosus. We prayed and hoped for a whole year that the hole in the child's heart would close on its own, but the examination in Lviv confirmed - no miracle happened. Daryna needs surgery so that our daughter's heart does not fail in the future.
Doctors plan to perform a sparing operation by installing an occluder. This guarantees Daryna a healthy life! But the cost of this device for our family is too high. All our strength goes to raising two children with a heart defect and a disability. I appeal to you with a request to help save our daughter's heart. Cardiovascular surgeon of the First Territorial Medical Association of Lviv Besh Dmytro: "During the examination, the child was diagnosed with congenital heart disease - patent ductus arteriosus. Based on absolute indicators, endovascular closure of the opening with an occluder was recommended. This is a gentle intervention that will help avoid the progression of complications, and after it the child will recover quickly and develop normally."
