At the age of two months, the son fell ill and was sent to a perinatal center, where a complete examination was performed, which revealed a congenital heart defect - a defect of the atrial septum. We went to the Kiev Heart Institute for an additional examination. Kiev specialists explained that in our case we can’t do without surgery, but first Denis needs to grow up and get stronger. Now my son goes to kindergarten, loves active, mobile games, but I try to limit him. Denis himself gets tired quickly, his face and palms are covered with sweat, he begins to complain of pain in his legs. A recent consultation with a cardiologist showed that his son’s heart was working with congestion. According to doctors, the operation cannot be postponed any longer. It can be done by a gentle, endovascular method: the defect will be closed with a special implant - an occluder. The operation itself will be carried out at the expense of the state budget. But you have to pay for the occluder. I can’t afford such a sum myself, I am raising my son without a husband, we live in a one-room apartment with my mother, I receive the minimum wage.
