According to medical indicators, specialists of the Kyiv City Children’s Clinical Hospital №1 performed the operation using another implant, which the parents paid for themselves. If there are no objections, the funds raised for Dima Voloshin will be transferred to the treatment of other wards of the Fund, under the program Fund .

Dima is a long-awaited and desirable child in the Voloshin family . Marina, the boy’s mother, was pregnant for the first time, without any peculiarities or complications. The child was born healthy. Without hesitation, the family went to the Kiev Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology. The doctor of the institute diagnosed Dmytro with epiphyseal dysplasia of the hip joints (
No serious diagnoses were found during repeated examinations by pediatricians and physicians of various specializations. However, an X-ray of the hips simply terrified the parents and the doctor of the Cherkasy Regional Children’s Hospital. The parents did not give up and miraculously got a consultation with the chief orthopedist of Kyiv, Pylypchuk Oleh Rostislavovych, whose medical opinion almost crippled the Voloshin family - a planned surgical intervention. That is, no treatment will not help the child, only a complex operation using titanium implants.
In September 2019, Dmitry underwent his first operation on his right leg. The child spent six hours on the operating table and a day in intensive care. After that, the boy was in a plaster cast for almost a month, and in October Dima was hospitalized again to remove the cast and develop his legs.
- This is just the beginning. There are several more operations ahead, one of which, in November, on the left leg. And next year, a few more surgeries and ongoing rehabilitation. And all this so that our son could stand and walk, holding my hand. So that Dimochka could run like all children and enjoy every day.
Dmytryk’s parents are simple teachers, his mother works in a rural school and his father in a city school. Even the first operation was paid for more by charitable funds of people who did not turn away and helped Dima. For the second operation, the Voloshin family is also forced to ask for help from caring people.
