- My daughter, of course, was very much awaited, - recalls her mother, Ludmila. My labor started a little earlier. Fortunately, everything went well, Evelina was born healthy. In a month and a half we were sent for a routine ultrasound of the heart, now all the kids are doing, the examination did not reveal anything. And at five months, it turned out that the daughter had a small hole in her heart, 0.2 mm. Doctors assured that this often happens, it’s okay, it can take a while.
And the parents did not worry, in addition, Evelina did not give reasons: she was gaining weight, developed well, almost did not get sick.
Now Evelina has reached the age when it is no longer necessary to hope for "self-delay". Contrary to doctors’ predictions, the hole did not close, but enlarged, which showed another ultrasound. The girl’s heart is working with overload.
- We could not believe it, because my son is healthy, and my husband and I are fine. How is this possible? Ludmila wondered.
The baby urgently needs an operation with the help of an occluder, which would close the defect and save the parents from the endless fear for their daughter.
