But it turned out - for the sentence. There is nothing to wash, treat and prevent. The child is completely deaf. Lena has a bad memory of how they got home, what they did, what they talked about. The world turned upside down.
More than a year has passed since then. Anger and resentment, torn from within, managed to take control. At 7 months, Fede was fitted with hearing aids. They should be worn every morning and taken off at bedtime. Without them, the baby does not hear a sound. When he is in them, he turns to his name:
- Fedya! Where’s the pussy? His mother asks loudly.
And the boy immediately looks for his favorite red cat. That’s the whole result. Now the baby is 1 year and 6 months old. Parents deal with their son every day - painstaking hard work. He says the words clearly and loudly, putting his pen to his cheek so that he can hear the vibrations:
- Tick-toe, mu-mu, yes-ah!
Fede manages to repeat only vowels, only intonations reach him:
- I-a, u-u, a-a.
The hope that the son could be helped to regain his hearing and learn to speak originated in the Churilov family eleven years ago. After all, it was then that their eldest daughter was diagnosed with the same diagnosis as now Fedor.
Then, without waiting for help from the state, Elena and Sergei, on their own and with the help of family and friends, bought their daughter a cochlear implant for hearing aids. Thanks to the implant and constant classes, the girl hears, speaks and studies in a regular school, not in a boarding school.
Cochlear implantation is a modern method of hearing compensation when hearing aids do not help. A system of electrodes is built into the patient’s inner ear, which, with the help of electrical stimulation of the preserved fibers of the auditory nerve, helps to perceive sound information.
Today, Fedya is in the state queue for such an operation - 336th. About 50 such operations are performed annually at the Institute of Otolaryngology. Even with stable annual funding for their turn, the baby will have to wait about 5-6 years. This means that the chance to learn to hear speech and speak can be lost forever.
In order to learn to recognize speech, Fede has to go through a very difficult path, at the beginning of which his parents realized the most important thing for themselves:
- Despite all the problems, Fedya is given to us by God ... Not as overcoming to learn. And Dan, as a reward! - says Elena.

Fyodor Churilov successfully completed cochlear implantation at the clinic Asibadem Bodrum (Turkey).A cochlear implant was implanted in the boy’s right ear, a device that receives and recognizes electromagnetic signals from a speech processor attached to the outside. The operation was successful. All sensors gave positive "feedback". Implant connected! Thanks to this operation, it was possible to compensate for the boy’s hearing loss. Now Fedor will do a lot and learn to hear, speak, be able to develop and communicate.
