Magdalena is now 2 years old. At the first routine check-up in 3 weeks, the daughter was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect, an open ductus arteriosus. Doctors predicted that within a year the defect could close on its own. Unfortunately, this did not happen, and with the growth of the child, the opening in the duct only increases. Her daughter's health only worsens every time: at 4 months, Magdalena suffered from COVID for the first time, and at 1 year she got sick again. To avoid further complications, doctors advise to close the ductus arteriosus now using an endovascular method, using an implant - an occluder. After the operation, doctors predict a full recovery. Currently, my wife is on maternity leave, my salary is not enough to purchase the necessary implant on my own, so we are hoping for the Ufond help in purchasing a spiral occluder and performing an operation that will ensure our daughter's full recovery. Andriy Pyrch, Lviv. Dmytro Besh, cardiovascular surgeon of the First Territorial Medical Association of the city of Lviv: «To avoid the progression of complications, the child needs an operation - closing the open ductus arteriosus by the endovascular method with the help of a spiral occluder. After such an operation, the girl will quickly recover, return to an active life and be healthy». The occlude-spiral supplier issued an invoice for UAH 80 000
