I am the mother of a very energetic, cheerful, kind and sincere girl Maria. Our only daughter goes to kindergarten, does rhythmic gymnastics and loves to sing. A year ago, we decided to undergo a full examination of the child's body, during which they discovered a congenital heart defect in our daughter - a patent ductus arteriosus. It was a shock for us! The doctors gave us a little hope that the hole in the duct would be able to close on its own. But a miracle did not happen.
Therefore, recently, we again came to Lviv for an examination, after which the doctors said that there was no point in hoping for the closure of the ductus, and recommended closing the hole with a sparing operation. Such an operation in the future guarantees a full and healthy life for our child. If this operation is not performed, complications may begin in the work of Maria's heart, which will generally worsen the child's health. To perform an endovascular (sparing) operation, a device is needed - an occluder. We cannot raise the entire amount needed to purchase an occluder on our own, so we ask for your help for Maria.
