Markian is now 9 years old. And when he was only 9 months old, the child suddenly fell ill. The boy lost all skills, as if he were a newborn. A few months later, it became clear that Markian had a rare disease - glutaric aciduria, mitochondrial encephalopathy, spastic tetraparesis. There are only three children with this diagnosis in Ukraine. In order for Markian to live, he needs to take drugs worth almost a thousand dollars a month. And another rehabilitation course is needed at Kozyavkin’s clinic. Markianchik has already passed 10 courses, and they gave a very good result. We heard such desirable words as "mom"! The child began to sit, crawl and stand at the support, but unfortunately does not walk. It is very difficult for our family financially, so we turn to your Foundation for help. Thanks to your help, Markiyan Smerechansky completed the 12th course of treatment at the Kozyavkin International Rehabilitation Clinic. There are already small results: spasticity has decreased, pronunciation has improved, coordination of movements has improved. And most importantly, Markiyan is trying to walk with the help of support for one hand. “We, the parents of Markiyan, are infinitely grateful to you all for your help for our son. THANKS!!!
