Mykhailo has a congenital heart defect - an open ductus arteriosus. The son grew and developed, like all children. When Mykhailo underwent an ultrasound of the heart, they immediately discovered a heart defect. We began to look for ways to cure it. We were advised to turn to the doctors of the Amosov Institute, where the son underwent a full professional examination, which confirmed the defect and showed that his heart was already working under load. The doctors recommended that my son undergo an endovascular, non-surgical operation using a special device - a spiral occluder. In order to get this device, the doctors advised to contact the Ufond, since the implant is not provided free of charge at the moment. Mykhailo Perevuznyk was successfully operated on at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery named after M.M. Amosov. Specialists of the institute eliminated the heart defect by closing the open arterial duct with an occluder-spiral through a small puncture in the femoral vein. The work of the heart and circulatory system has been restored. Mykhailo feels well. The very next day after the operation, the boy was discharged home.
