Nastya is my only and long-awaited child. The daughter was born 3 weeks earlier, but there were no complications. From birth we were concerned only with frequent colds. At the age of five, the daughter began to complain of pain in the heart. I immediately went to a cardiologist, who referred us for an ECG and ultrasound. Examination revealed a congenital heart defect in Nastya - an open arterial duct. Passed an additional consultation with the cardiac surgeon of the Institute named after V.T. Zaitseva (Kharkov), who recommended closing the arterial duct with a special device - a occluder-spiral. This is the most gentle and painless remedy for a child. Postpone surgery is not recommended, as enlargement of the hole can lead to the development of pulmonary hypertension. I am raising a child on my own, my father died a year ago.
