Diagnosed with cerebral palsy, Polina was diagnosed from birth. The girl has a congenital anomaly of CNS development, motor disorders syndrome, psychomotor developmental delay. At 8, she can’t sit, walk or talk on her own. But with proper and frequent rehabilitation, she has a chance to get a normal life. She makes significant progress after each rehabilitation course. Polina starts to move more, tries to sit by herself and walk with support. For rehabilitation to be successful and effective, the girl must undergo a course of treatment at least three or four times a year. But for a family with two girls aged seven and three, one of whom is a child with special needs, it is impossible to raise funds for treatment on their own. Only the father of the children works in the family, I have to stay at home to take care of the disabled child, most of the money goes to diapers and the constant purchase of medicines.
