In the fall of 2014, being in the 7th month of pregnancy, due to heavy shelling of the city, Olga and her eldest daughter Alexandra had to move from the Donetsk region to the city of Kyiv. From the very first trimester of pregnancy, Olga’s nerves were at their limit. Living all the time in fear, and being in dangerous proximity to falling shells, they had to hide in basements and bomb shelters. Which, in all probability, was the cause of Ariadne’s illness.
- All the time it seemed that trouble would "come" to our house, but, thank God, it all worked out! But, as it turned out - not all - says Olga, Ariadne’s mother.
Ariadna was born on March 11, 2015 in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv. The child is generally healthy, according to doctors. But, the right part of her face is dark red, and there are the same "wine" spots on her body. At first, no one commented on this. Then some doctors said that these spots should last up to a year, and others - that with age they can darken and even acquire a nodular vascular texture, become convex. Accordingly, they must be removed by surgery, otherwise complications will occur.
- In the summer of 2015, we went to the clinic "Ohmatdet", where we were diagnosed with a vascular malformation of the right side of the face, "wine stain", and advised to try treatment with anaprilin. We were treated for 4 months, and did not see any results, except for a noticeable drop in blood pressure in the baby, which could not but affect her well-being. After that, after weighing all the pros and cons, we decided to contact the Institute of Dermatocosmetology Dr. Bogomolets, where we were advised to start treatment as soon as possible, not with medication, but with a special laser that removes improperly formed vessels.
As the specialists of the clinic explained, this procedure, although a bit painful, is absolutely harmless to the child’s health. After passing a test procedure of laser treatment of a small area of the spot, receiving a positive result and making sure that this treatment does not affect the health of Ariadne, Olga finally decided on the method of treatment of her daughter.
- Thanks to the help of relatives and friends, we have already managed to conduct 3 laser treatments. The result is obvious! According to doctors, it will take 6 to 16 procedures to achieve complete removal of the "wine" stain. The cost of treatment is high, the most, unfortunately, I can not raise such funds.
Where do immigrants get such money from? Olga is raising two daughters herself. They live on benefits: assistance to a single mother, assistance with the birth of a child and assistance to immigrants. The proceeds go to rent a room, education of the eldest daughter, payment of utilities and food. It is impossible to postpone treatment.
