Sofia Quail

Dear friends!
Fundraising for the treatment of Sofia Perepelytsia is closed. According to the latest data from the medical examination, the hole in the ductus artery tightened on its own. Therefore, surgery to remove a congenital heart defect is not required. If there are no objections, the funds raised for Sofia the
Quail will be transferred to the treatment of another child, a ward of the Ufond under the Ufond.Serce program and the Fill the Heart with Life campaign .

Pregnancy and childbirth were uncomplicated. Sophia was born a healthy child. At two weeks, while bathing, the daughter developed a blue, nasolabial triangle. We immediately went to a pediatrician, who referred us to a cardiologist. After the ultrasound, we were told that Sonya had a heart murmur and should be monitored. Appointed to see a cardiologist every six months. At the last ultrasound, the doctor said that the ductus arteriosus never closed in Sofia’s heart. Without hesitation, we were sent to the Institute named after V.T. Zaitseva. There we had a complete examination, which confirmed the diagnosis - congenital heart disease, open ductus arteriosus.
After this diagnosis, everything turned upside down, a bunch of questions: "Why?", "For what?". Tears by the river and sleepless nights, realizing that the daughters need to have surgery now, not when the condition starts to get worse. So that Sofia could grow up to be a full-fledged child, a huge princess who will be able to attend the dance classes she dreams of, run and jump with her friends.
At the consultation, a university professor recommended that we endovascularly close the defect with an occlusive spiral. This is a gentle intervention, after which our baby will recover quickly and will develop normally, without risk to heart health. The amount of the fee is very large, we can not raise such money. My husband has a minimum wage, and I am temporarily out of work. Therefore, I ask for help from all concerned people. Julia Grechko, Kharkiv.
Head of the Department of Interventional Cardiology at the Institute of General and Emergency Surgery. V.T. Zaitseva Ihor Polivenok (Kharkiv): “During the examination, Sofiya was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect - an open arterial duct, dilatation of the right heart. In absolute terms, endovascular spiral occlusion is recommended. This is a gentle intervention, after which the girl will recover quickly and will develop normally. "

The supplier of the occluder-spiral issued a bill for 60,027 hryvnias.
