To clarify the diagnosis, we went to Kyiv, to the Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, and then to the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The diagnosis was confirmed everywhere - congenital heart disease, aneurysm (defect) of the atrial septum with a breakthrough.
Experts from the Heart Institute, where we registered, recommended closing the defect by endovascular surgery, using a special occluder device, which is folded into the atria and opens, completely isolating the atria from each other, tightening the hole. This operation is free, but you need to buy an occluder.
