After the examination, Timur was sent to Kyiv to the National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery named after MM Amosova. A meeting with a cardiologist knocked the ground out from under his feet. We were told that the child had an atrial septal defect - a congenital heart defect. Blood from the left atrium through the hole enters the right, mixes and overloads the muscle. The heart stretches and affects the lungs. The only way out is surgery by endovascular intervention with an occluder. If you delay, the heart and lungs of the child will eventually "fail". Timur Dovgalyuk successfully operated at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery named after MM Amosova (Kyiv).Specialists of the Institute eliminated the heart defect by closing the defect with an occluder, due to a small puncture in the femoral vein. The work of the heart and circulatory system is restored. Timur is feeling well. The next day after the operation, the boy was discharged home.
