As befits twins, these sisters together endure all difficulties and troubles, supporting each other. Unfortunately, their diagnosis is one in two, which has become a double and unbearable burden for them and their parents. In November, the girls will be 4 years old. Premature twins were born. The girls were diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Did not give up.

The whole family is struggling with the disease. Cerebral palsy deprived girls of the opportunity to walk, sit without support and even hold a spoon. To get to their feet, children need to take a special course that costs more than 34 thousand hryvnias. The family does not have such money.

The Alekseev twins were born almost 3 months premature. They were discharged from the hospital four months later with a number of diagnoses, one of which was cerebral palsy. By the year they had not learned to roll over or sit. But the parents of the girls did not give up, so as not to tell them.

- The pregnancy was threatening, but the girls developed in utero properly, - says Julia, the mother of twins. - Only God knows why this happened. Sofiyka and Alinochka were born very early, at 26 weeks, weighing 800 and 920 grams. And from the first minutes their struggle for life began. The baby spent four months in intensive care. These were very difficult days. But God has given us life, albeit not simple, but the life of my girls. - After 4 months from the date of birth, we were discharged home. It would seem that everything is behind, houses and walls are being treated. However, doctors said that we could not do without regular rehabilitation courses.

If a child with cerebral palsy grows up in a family, then so does sheand regular rehabilitation is required. Only then can we hope for results. That’s why parents are doing everything possible to get Sofia and Alina on their feet. "The doctors told us then that at best they would be supported," Yulia recalls. - We have put all our ambitions, all emotions aside, from 10 months to this day we go and go to rehabilitation.

The life of the Alekseev sisters from the Zaporozhye region is in constant rehabilitation. Fortunately, after each course, doctors observe a positive trend in development: girls can sit at the support, start talking, hold their backs more confidently ... It is even more important not to interrupt treatment. You will miss the course - and the girls will lose skills. This means that if one of them has learned to hold an object in his hands, then in the absence of constant control, these skills are easy to forget.
Of course, money is needed for treatment. Large sums. Where would you find them to have enough for everything? Not for clothes, not for a car or vacation, and not even for a full meal. And so that the door is not closed in front of children who get better in front of their eyes after treatment.

Since the birth of the girls, the Alekseev family, in which only one parent works, has been living in austerity: treating, treating and treating. After all, constant treatment is an integral part of girls’ lives, on the way to one big dream for two ... for four.

- We really want our daughters to be able to walk and run, - says Julia with tears. - Our dream is one - that our girls have a happy childhood and a healthy life!

Only together, we can help the Alekseev family to be one step closer to the dream.

This is the first rehabilitation course paid for by Ufond partners and readers. Another course of treatment is ahead.
According to the sisters’ mother, the dynamics of rehabilitation is very positive: Alina started to hold her head better, her sleep improved and, most importantly, the girl said "Mama" three times for the first time. Sofia began to stand more confidently on her feet and the spasticity in her hands decreased. This is the biggest and most important New Year’s gift for the girls’ mother, who is grateful to each of you for her help, because it is so important for Alina and Sofia!
Friends, accept our gratitude for this important gift for girls! We will be sure to follow the fate of Sofia and Alina and report on the results of the second course of treatment.
