Vika was born a healthy child. My daughter grew up active, but one thing was alarming - she got tired faster than her peers. Before going to school, we started treating my daughter's teeth. Before that, the child needed to have an ultrasound of the heart, which revealed a congenital heart defect in my daughter - patent ductus arteriosus.
At the examination in Lviv, the doctors said that there was no point in hoping for the hole to close, because it was already too enlarged, that it would only get worse, so they recommended closing the defect with a gentle operation so that the heart would not be overloaded. This operation guarantees my daughter a full life in the future. If this is not done, over time the heart will begin to enlarge, and in the event of some bacterial disease, complications may occur in the heart, and then an open heart operation will be required. To perform an endovascular (sparing) operation, a device is needed - an occluder implant. The operation itself is free, but we need to buy an implant. I am on maternity leave, we are expecting our second child, only the husband works in the family. We cannot raise the entire amount needed to buy an occluder on our own.
