Vova is our long-awaited child. A son was born prematurely, with low weight and difficulty breathing. The child was immediately taken to the intensive care unit under the ventilator. Born with heart disease and pneumonia, Vova could not breathe on his own. And when this happened, the son was on the operating table, where he was placed a drain to clean the cerebrospinal fluid (cerebrospinal fluid - ed..). The result of resuscitation was actively progressive hydrocephalus. After staying in the hospital for 2 months, the child underwent surgery again and had a shunt. After 4 months, neurologists concluded that our child has cerebral palsy, severe, spastic tetraparesis. We could not start any treatment and rehabilitation due to heart disease. When Vovochka was 9 months old, he underwent open heart surgery. Everything went well, only after a long rehabilitation after surgery, we again lost several months of treatment for cerebral palsy. When my son was one year old, we began to work actively with him to overcome another disease: exercise therapy, Voita therapy, massage, acupuncture, osteopathy. Continuous monitoring by neurosurgeons, cardiologists, neurologists and ophthalmologists. The results, of course, are there, but motor activity is not particularly developed. For today, Vova does not roll over, does not sit alone, does not crawl and does not walk. To achieve good results, the child needs rehabilitation in "strong" medical centers, at least 2-3 times a year. One such center is the Volodymyr Kozyavkin International Rehabilitation Clinic, where we are registered for September for the first time.
