First of all, I would like to sincerely thank the benefactors of the Ufond and all the good people who supported us and helped Makarovі complete the previous several rehabilitation courses at the Kozyavkin International Rehabilitation Clinic. I wish everyone peace, calm and happiness!
Since the beginning of hostilities in Ukraine, we have stayed at home in our native Kyiv, experienced and continue to experience everything that happened around us. We try, as much as possible, to hold back, because all our emotions are transferred to our son, and he is very sensitive. Studying and homework distract from sad and heavy thoughts.
Previously, when Makar had the opportunity to rehabilitate three or four times a year in the clinic, as recommended by doctors. He worked out very well: each time, after rehabilitation, his physical and emotional condition improved, he bent his legs better at the knees, the condition of his muscles improved, Makar became more active and hardy, kept his back straighter, and had better support on his legs.
Over eleven years, Makar has already completed 30 rehabilitation courses in various centers and clinics. Now my son is studying in the 4th grade of SNVK "Mriya" for children with musculoskeletal disorders, on distance learning. My son likes to do mathematics and writing, he tries very hard, likes to solve examples and problems. We pay a lot of attention to the development of speech and reading, which is the most difficult for him, due to the underdevelopment of speech and dysarthria.
In recent years, unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic and the war, rehabilitations at Makar have become more rare. For the period from 2020 to 2022, we managed to pay for our son only for one rehabilitation per year. In connection with this, the child's spasticity increased, which led to the shortening of the right leg by 1.5 centimeters. Now we do not have the opportunity to independently pay for the next and much-needed rehabilitation course for our son, therefore, we have decided to again turn to the benefactors of the Ufоnd for support and help in this difficult time for all of us. Makar Stetsyuk, completed the planned rehabilitation course at the Kozyavkin International Rehabilitation Treatment Clinic. Another rehabilitation course, worth more than 14 thousand hryvnias, which readers and partners of the Ufund helped pay for. Makar finished the treatment with positive dynamics and new skills. The boy began to stand straighter, his back is in better condition, he is very pleased that he came and works extremely hard in his classes.
