Report. One and a half months of striving for peace
This spring was completely different for everyone. That’s why we decided not to make a regular report on the work of the Fund. Instead, we’ve compiled the most important things we’ve done in this period and what we want to see in the next report.
The war, as it turned out, was not just about brutal fighting. We got acquainted with the war on behalf of the Fund in the form of stopping vital operations, unavailability of medicines, difficulties in delivering medical supplies, the humanitarian crisis, thousands of displaced people seeking help for the most urgent. For the first time in the 12 years of the foundation’s existence, we were approached about a child with a shrapnel wound to the leg. It was a boy from Volnovakha who together with the partners of PrivatBank’s Charitable Foundation "Help is easy" very quickly, despite the difficult logistics, we were able to find and deliver the required Vac device. An extremely important part of our work was humanitarian aid, which we received in large quantities from the United States from Eltech Trust . Our volunteers were able to distribute this assistance among hospitals, as it contained surgical and orthopedic medical supplies, some were delivered to the soldiers in the form of sleeping bags, and most were provided to migrants from the eastern regions of Ukraine. We continue to look for opportunities to receive new humanitarian assistance, as requests for it are received constantly. Of course, we could not stand aside, so part of our activities was aimed at helping the Armed Forces and the SRO, which we also wrote about .Our volunteers and new friends constantly continue to help families from Chernihiv region, Kyiv region, elderly people and animals. Gradually, the Fund returns to its main mission - to help children. This was facilitated by the resumption of operations in other safer regions of the country. And this is greatly facilitated by your support for the wards of the Fund. Children with heart defects, who urgently need to buy and install occluders, are very much waiting for help. The wonderful boy Elijah is waiting for a hearing aid that will help him learn and communicate with friends. And such a strong Markian is struggling with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy and dreams with his family of rehabilitation that you can give! Everything will be - Ukraine!
