Doctors gave us hope that this defect might not grow. After that, we had annual check-ups to make sure that the defect had stopped growing. Unfortunately, this year the disease began to progress, and now Sophia needs surgery, in the form of endovascular closure of the heart defect with an occluder. After the operation, doctors predict a complete and quick recovery of the child. One occluder costs more than 100 000 hryvnias, and we will have to raise funds for a long time on our own to buy it.
