Vika was born a healthy child, no pathologies were detected. My daughter grew up a healthy child, rarely got sick. But, recently, Vika began to lose consciousness and constantly feel tired. The family doctor gave us a referral to a cardiologist. It was from him, on March 25 of this year, that we first heard that our daughter had a congenital heart defect - an atrial septal defect. For us, this was a big trouble.
The doctors immediately advised to have an operation, because the size of the defect is almost 10 mm, which is already quite critical and over time there may be complications in the work of the heart. We were advised to close the defect with an endovascular operation, using an occluder. The operation itself is free, but the occluder device must be purchased. For our large family, such an amount is very large and we cannot purchase it ourselves. Our family has never been indifferent to other people's grief and we have always come to the aid of people, but now our child needs this help, and I sincerely believe in the kindness of people and ask for help for my daughter! Cardiovascular surgeon of the First Territorial Medical Association of Lviv Besh Dmytro: "During the examination, the girl was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect - atrial septal defect. Based on absolute indicators, endovascular closure of the opening with a large-sized occluder was recommended. This is a gentle intervention, after which the child will quickly recover and develop normally".
The occluder supplier issued an invoice for UAH 102 500.
